The R Manual for QCA is a free, step-by-step guide to running Qualitative Comparative Analysis in R. It accompanies Qualitative Comparative Analysis: An Introduction to Research Design and Application (Georgetown University Press, 2021) and can also be used on its own. All instructions are contained in the PDF, all code is included in the R script, and the script works with the two sample data sets.
Current version: 4.1 (August 2026). The files are also deposited at Harvard Dataverse. If you run into errors or if questions arise, please let me know.
